Services
International transport
Shipments crossing borders, by one or more modes.
Overview
International shipments involve several stages, several parties and the rules of at least two countries. Combining the right modes of transport and preparing the right documents is what makes them run smoothly.
Cargo Express coordinates international shipments from and to South Africa, combining air, sea and road transport when needed: for example, collection by truck, a sea or air leg, then customs clearance and delivery at destination.
You deal with one point of contact, and each recorded stage appears in the online tracking under a single tracking number.

Questions about this service
What are Incoterms and why do they matter?
Incoterms® are rules published by the International Chamber of Commerce. They define which party — seller or buyer — organises and pays for each stage of transport, and where the risk passes from one to the other. The Incoterm agreed in your sale determines what we organise and for whom.
Who pays the import duties and taxes?
It depends on the Incoterm agreed between seller and buyer. Duties and taxes are set by the customs authorities of the importing country, not by Cargo Express. They are usually paid by the importer unless the sale was agreed “delivered duty paid” (DDP).
Can you ship to any country?
Each destination has its own rules, and some goods or countries are subject to restrictions or sanctions. Tell us the destination and the goods, and we will confirm what is possible.
